Old Nic (the human live with) and I met some years ago when I had strayed rather further than I had intended from my home at that time. I had been trapped in a shed and completely lost my meow from calling for help repeatedly. Eventually I managed to escape and wandered around for a while (Old Nic says I was living feral but I think that's an exaggeration) and eventually found a doorstep where food kept appearing every night. One night Old Nic appeared at the door with the food and invited me in for a bit of warmth. As it was the middle of winter I gladly accepted and we've been together pretty much ever since.
As far as my name is concerned, Old Nic says that he had to give me some sort of a human name and it was a mystery (to him at least) where I came from and he thought I might not be able to cope with the spelling and that Mistri sounded cooler anyway. Apparently I belong to a breed of cat rather derisively known as moggies so Moggy became my second name. Old Nic says he had to give me a surname because Twitter insisted on it. Well at least it's alliterative!
I call my human Old Nic because he is old and because of his Twitter page.
Old Nic likes irony and sarcasm although he thinks he has a sardonic sense of humour. He decided on the bird background for this page and my Twitter page because it appeals to his sense of irony - especially since I can't catch any of the little blighters even though they keep twittering and flapping about outside.
These days I spend most of my time sitting by the window watching the world go by. I also spend a lot of time sitting on the digi box because, since it is an electrical gubbins, it's quite warm. Also it annoys Old Nic because if I'm watching something on television I keep my tail hanging over the sensor so he cannot change channels. It drives him potty - he sits there pressing buttons furiously and nothing happens except his face gets redder and redder. We seem to watch a lot of television these days and it may be something to do with our age. Old Nic seems to enjoy shouting at it while his face goes from red to purple. I'm quite worried about Old Nic.
